Welcome to the Chisum Independent School District. Home of the "Mighty Mustang"! Chisum is located just outside the city limits of Paris, Texas, on South Highway 19/24. Chisum was created in 1985 by the consolidation of the Delmar and West Lamar School Districts. With 890 students in the district, Chisum is considered one of the best and fastest growing school districts in Texas.

Community & Business
The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business community. The Chamber is not a civic club, charitable organization or department of city government. The Chamber is a private, nonprofit tax paying corporation. It unites hundreds of business and professional firms, thus creating a unique central agency working to improve business and build a better community.
